Data We Process

• Photos selected or captured by the user for manga generation.
• Optional notes entered by the user for context.
• Generated manga images and local memory records.
• Account session information when the user signs in with Apple.
• Plaza posts, captions, comments, reports, and block relationships when the user chooses to use the community feature.

How Data Is Used

Photos and optional notes are used only to provide app functionality: safety checks, image generation, saving generated memories, and optional record sync. The iOS app does not store OpenAI API keys. Generation requests go through the MangaTrace backend.

Training And Tracking

MangaTrace does not track users across apps or websites. MangaTrace does not sell personal data. API data handling is controlled by the configured backend providers and their terms.

The official website uses one functional language-preference cookie to remember whether a visitor explicitly selected Chinese or English. It is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Photo Upload Control

Real photo generation requires an in-app confirmation before upload. Users should not upload identification documents, bank cards, nudity, sensitive minor content, or private documents.

Plaza Publication Control

MangaTrace never automatically publishes original photos to Plaza. Generation, saving a memory, and sharing through the system share sheet do not create a public Plaza post. Only a completed generated manga image that the user actively selects and confirms for publication may be posted to Plaza. Original source photos are not included in the public post.

Community Safety And Moderation

Users can report a Plaza post and block another account from the post detail screen. Reports enter a moderation queue. MangaTrace may use automated safety checks and authorized human review, and may hide, restore, or delete reported content under the Terms of Use and Community Guidelines.

Storage And Deletion

Generated memories are stored locally on the device by default. The generation backend keeps a completed response temporarily so the app can poll and receive it; completed generated images are not written to the generation state file. A record is stored remotely only when the user enables cloud sync or explicitly publishes the generated image to Plaza.

Users can delete individual records, their own Plaza posts, all local records, or their MangaTrace account from the app. Account deletion removes associated generation jobs, cloud records, Plaza posts and relationships, entitlement data, local memories, and active sessions. Sign in with Apple authorization is revoked after fresh Apple confirmation. App Store subscriptions must be managed separately in Apple's subscription settings.
